Guild member and Beer Sommelier Paul Davies has recently set up his new business ‘Ale Hunters Brewery Tours’.
Picking up thirsty enthusiasts in West London, Ale Hunters will transport guests to the best breweries and beer festivals in Belgium and beyond. Paul explained his reason for setting up the new venture: ‘When I left Fuller’s last last year I had just returned from yet another trip to Belgium and managed to pack in six brewery visits. After visiting the country so frequently for almost 30 years I decided it would be a good time to share my knowledge and love for Belgium with fans of quality beer.”
Numbers on the tours are small – between 8-10 guests – and are scheduled to take place 15-18 times per year, led by Paul. The next scheduled trip is the ‘Toer de Geuze’ in May which takes place every two years. For wild beer fans this trip will also include visits to Flemish Red and Oud Bruin producers. Future tours include the ‘Antwerp and Beer Passion Weekend’ in June and ‘Wallonia and Namur Capital de la Biere’ in July.
