Hall & Woodhouse awarded for work with children’s hospice

Dorset brewer Hall & Woodhouse has been awarded Outstanding Corporate Supporter at the Wiltshire children’s hospice, Naomi Houses’ Corporate Charity Awards 2012.

Fiona Hansford, Naomi House corporate fundraiser says: “We would like to offer our thanks and congratulations to all of the team members from Hall & Woodhouse.  The substantial sums raised by the teams from Hall & Woodhouse will really help to support our work. All nominees in the category would have been worthy winners but Hall & Woodhouse stood out for their inspirational teamwork and imaginative approach to fundraising. They have been a delight to work with throughout the last year and we look forward to working closely with them as their charity of the year for the second year running.”

Hall & Woodhouse owns and operates public houses throughout the south of England and alongside brewery staff, the separate teams from all its managed public houses have worked tirelessly to raise much-needed funds. From charity chess matches against grand-masters, to a huge team sky dive with more than 50 team members jumping from 10,000 feet.

David Hoare, retail director for Hall & Woodhouse says: “We are absolutely delighted to have been presented the award from Naomi House. We have been supporting the charity for almost a year and the way that the teams from our public houses have chosen to get involved has really been inspiring. Everyone has done their bit and most importantly we know the money raised will make a real difference to children’s lives.”
