In celebration of HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Harvey’s Brewery has recreated the recipe for its 1953 ‘Coronation Ale’.
Brewed using flaked barley, together with pale, crystal and black malts, the result is a rounded beer (4.2% abv) with undertones of dates, dried fruit and toasted bread. This is offset by the subdued bitterness of traditional Sussex Fuggle and East Kent Golding hops.
The entire brew was pre-sold within forty-eight hours and will be delivered to customers during week commencing 23rd May.
