This November, Harviestoun Brewery, one of the stalwarts of the craft brewing industry, will launch two new brews: Raspy Engine, a raspberry infused black ale and Harviestoun IPA, made using American citrus hops at the Dram & Smoke Winter Highland Hideaway (details attached).
Harviestoun Brewery has been working at its craft for over 30 years, pioneering craft brewing North of the boarder and across the UK.Exclusively brewed in Alva, Scotland, the brewery produces a range of lagers and ales including the bestselling Schiehallion craft lager, Bitter & Twisted golden ale, Old Engine Oil black ale and their unique collaboration with Highland Park whisky distillery, Ola Dubh ale – a world renowned beer matured in whisky casks.
Raspy Engine, created by head brewer Amy Cockburn was inspired by a trip to a nearby fruit farm. Using the breweries iconic Old Engine Oil as a base Amy added whole, fresh Scottish raspberries. Rich and velvety in taste, Amy was satisfied with the sharp and fruity finish and so Raspy Engine was born. Likened to a grown-up dark chocolate and raspberry pudding with elegant red fruit notes, the brew launches under Harviestoun Brewery’s Wee Beastie experimental collection.
Launching alongside Raspy Engine is Harviestoun IPA. Made using American citrus hops Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo and Appollo, Harviestoun IPA is a true, authentic, American style IPA with plenty of long-lasting flavour. Harviestoun IPA has been given a superior body, allowing the hops to sing and is made using the finest malted barley.
Harviestoun IPA and Raspy Engine will be available to purchase across the UK in independent bottle shops as well as direct from the Harviestoun Brewery website: www.harviestoun.com
