HOBGOBLIN CELEBRATES YEAR OF MUSICAL MISCHIEF WITH AXE COMPETITION

Wychwood Brewery is taking its legendary Hobgoblin brand on tour this year with an exhausting programme of music festival and outdoor event sponsorships this summer.  Snaking its way around the country, Hobgoblin’s epic adventure takes in Guilfest in Surrey, Bloodstock in Derbyshire and has already visited DV8 in York, and Cornbury Festival, among others.

To mark its support for live music and al fresco entertainment, Hobgoblin has launched its national Full Volume competition to win tip top prizes fit for music-lovers everywhere.  Three legendary guitars, seven Hobgoblin branded MP3 players and a whole host of Hobgoblin ltd edition t-shirts and pint glasses are up for grabs.

Wychwood is engaging the on-trade through a gig ticket-style mechanic which is handed over the bar to any customer purchasing a pint of Hobgoblin.  The ticket features its own unique code that entrants must then quote on the Hobgoblin website at www.wychwood.co.uk/axes.  The closing date for entries is Sunday 30th September 2012.

Chris Keating, marketing manager at Wychwood Brewery is delighted with the way Hobgoblin is embraced at live events.  He said: “There is a mischievous but jovial aspect to the Hobgoblin brand that provides a natural fit with outdoor events and festivals where ale-lovers are keen to enjoy their music and indulge in a little quality beer with friends and family.  We have been overwhelmed by the response to the Full Volume competition which in its first month alone has received more than 39,000 entries.”

4.5% ABV, Hobgoblin is a traditionally craft brewed with chocolate and crystal malts and a blend of Styrian, Goldings and Fuggles hops to produce this deliciously dark ruby ale.
