Cotswold Hills based brewery, Hook Norton has launched an exciting new 500ml bottled beer with attitude: Lion, created with care to live up to its cask cousins.
Launched due to the popular demand from Hook Norton Brewery’s loyal customers, the moreish, well-balanced and medium strength at 4.4% ABV pale ale is a bottled version of the light and refreshing 4.0% ABV cask ale, introduced by Hook Norton Brewery in March 2013.
The new bottled product was brought to market after the sales for the draft version of Lion soared to 18% of its cask ale volume sales mix – making up almost one fifth of the brewery’s total cask ale sales. With bottled Lion deemed to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, 2014 is set to be an exciting time for the Brewery.
Lion is brewed using only English ingredients, with a blend of the finest four malts and four hops, and has been popular through every area of distribution. It’s available across Hook Norton’s estate of 40 pubs in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Gloucestershire, via free trade, through 25 wholesalers in the UK, through leased pub groups such as Enterprise, Punch Taverns and managed groups such as Spirit and by all major brewers too.
