In Less than Two days there will be a new Scottish Champion!

 

SIBA the trade body of Craft brewers representing over 600 breweries is hosting its Scottish Regional Championship this Friday in Pollokshaws Burgh Halls on the Southside of Glasgow.  At stake is the title of Scotland’s Best Craft Beer.

 

 

Most of Scotland’s best known names in Brewing such as Arran, Broughton, Harviestoun, Fyne ales, Kelburn, Stewart’s, Inveralmond, in fact too many to mention with over 102 cask ales on show and 57 bottled beers this is going to be some marathon for the judges.

 

 

Eleven different categories of beers will be judged and from the best of each of these categories an overall champion will be found.

 

 

There can be but one Scottish Champion. The new Champion will be announced around 5pm on Friday night when the door open to the public.  Who will be able to taste a fantastic selection of what the best brewers in Scotland think are their best beers.   

 

 

On Saturday a beer festival will allow the general public to try these beers and to decide whether or not they agree with the judges choices.
