Independent Manchester Beer Convention is back for 2013! Tickets are now on sale and a brand new website has launched.

We’d barely finished packing away IMBC 2012 when we started thinking about the next one, IMBC HQ has been abuzz with frenzied activity ever since. At some point we had to actually buckle down and try and crowbar all those ideas into an event which will hopefully be even better than last year, well we have grasped the nettle and hopefully have the bare bones of something which we hope you’ll love. Everyone seemed to really enjoy what we did last year so the pressure is really on us now to exceed your expectations. We will be sticking to the same core principles as last year :

– to feature the countries most progressive, forward thinking brewing types

– having the brewers there serving beers and answering your questions

– a fantastic venue

– great food

– quality dispense

– a mixture of cask and keg

– food pairing

– talks and seminars

– pop up tastings

We shan’t be resting on our collective laurels though, we’ll be making some changes which we think will make IMBC 2013 even better.

– FIVE sessions, we’re running from Thursday to Sunday with two sessions on Saturday

– we’re inviting some brewers from further afield to join in the fun

– using the space a little differently to make the most of it

– there’ll be more music, entertainment and performance

– there’ll be even more brewers attending from the UK

– Each day will have something different to offer with local, national and international brewers mingling

– a limited number of weekend tickets will be available for the truly committed

Our aim is not just to make IMBC bigger but to make it better, inspired in part by the ideology of one of our brewers from last year, Kjetil from Nøgne Ø in Norway, what a guy!
