As long-time official drinks partner for Maidstone United Football Club, we would like to inform you of Shepherd Neame’s activity in support of our partner ahead of the club’s historic Fifth Round FA Cup match against Coventry on Monday (February 26).
Shepherd Neame has created a special IPA, Cheeky Chip, for the occasion (4.3% ABV), which will be available at the Spitfire Lounge at the Gallagher Stadium for those fans who will be watching the away match there on the big screen.
The Session IPA has been named after the ‘cheeky chip’ Lamar Reynolds scored in the Stones 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town in their Fourth Round tie.
It has been brewed using UK Challenger and Jester hops and US varieties Mosaic and Amarillo.
As it did for the last match, Shepherd Neame is also offering fans their first pint of the night, of Cheeky Chip, free – while stocks last!
The Spitfire Lounge bar has also been adorned with bespoke bunting featuring both the Shepherd Neame and the MUFC logos for the occasion.
Editors’ Notes on the Partnership:
Shepherd Neame has been the official drinks partner of the club since it moved to the Gallagher Stadium in 2012. The stadium’s clubhouse is named the Spitfire Lounge after Shepherd Neame’s award-winning beer range.
The Faversham-based brewer signed a new three-year pouring rights partnership with The Stones in October.
