INTRODUCING HACKNEY’S LARGEST TAPROOM: THE ALL-NEW MARE STREET VENUE FROM THE FIVE POINTS BREWING CO

Launching on Friday 24th July, the open-air venue will be serving the full range of Five Points beers on keg and cask, alongside delicious pizzas from Hackney favourites ACE PIZZA

This Friday, East London’s largest independent brewery, The Five Points Brewing Company, is launching its brand-new taproom, based in the yard and arches of its Mare Street warehouse in the heart of Hackney. The perfect summer venue for socially distanced get togethers, the Mare Street Taproom will be serving the full range of fresh Five Points beers on keg and cask, as well as hybrid New York-Neapolitan style pizzas from ACE PIZZA.

Open on Fridays and Saturdays throughout summer, the venue has been designed to follow the best current safety measures, with customers encouraged to order food and drink via the new Five Points On Tap app and to book tables in advance via Design My Night. Bookings cost £5 per person, and include each guest’s first drink.

The taproom has also been designed to offer the best possible experience for customers who’ve missed pub gardens and dining out during lockdown. As well as a fully-stocked bar and plenty of staff for quick table service, the venue features a brand new wood-fired pizza oven, so the ACE team can create the same mouth-watering pizzas that they serve at legendary Five Points pub The Pembury Tavern. The taproom has also been created to allow safe space for 154 guests to drink and maintain social distancing at the same time.

Commenting on the launch, Five Points Managing Director and Co-Founder, Ed Mason said: “We’re really excited to be opening our first weekly open-air taproom. It’s going to be the perfect Hackney spot to enjoy craft beer, wood-fired pizza and the sunshine this summer – in a safe and secure environment”

The Five Points Mare Street Taproom has been created for safe-serving and optimised service. Special safety measures include:

  • Welcome hosts to guide guests to their tables
  • All-seated venue
  • Hand sanitiser stations on entry and throughout the premises
  • Customer contact details recorded through the Design My Night booking system or manually for walk-ups
  • Orders are taken at tables by table service, or placed through the Five Points On Tap app
  • All tables will be cleaned down and sanitised between bookings
Customers are encouraged to book tables in advance via Design My Night. Bookings cost £5 per person, and include each guest’s first drink. For more information, visit www.fivepointsbrewing.co.uk

About The Five Points Brewing Co.
The Five Points Brewing Company is London’s largest independent brewery, based in Hackney, East London.  They have been brewing with a commitment to great beer and the local community since 2013. Their beers have won numerous awards and have become a staple of pubs and bars both in their East London heartland and across London and beyond. Recent additions to their range include Micro Pale and Five Points Best, which join established classics like Five Points Pale and JUPA.

Five Points have worked hard to adjust to the challenges of the Coronavirus epidemic – their online business has exploded, they’ve launched new mobile app Five Points On Tap, and are now offering a home delivery service from their pub The Pembury Tavern.

Five Points are offering all NHS staff 20% off its web store as well as pledging £1 for every web store purchase to a community charity. July’s donations are going to Black Minds Matter, a new fund that helps provide Black individuals and families with free, professional, culturally competent mental health resources and services.

Charities will change monthly to help those in need.
Five Points also own Hackney pub The Pembury Tavern, which is now back open for beer and ACE PIZZA for both takeaway and home delivery!
