With thousands of Brits looking to change their drinking habits and make some healthy lifestyle changes for a month and with the new wave of alcohol-free drinks aimed at an adult palette on the menu, the pub suddenly gets more interesting if you are cutting down on drinking or on a fitness kick. Club Soda, the Mindful Drinking Movement™, along with WONDER Festival and Adnams, is encouraging Cambridge residents to try out something new – a mindful pub crawl – at some of their local haunts to show that pubs are still great places for everyone, regardless of whether you are drinking or not.

So why not join them and say cheers to some great tasting, flavoursome and satisfying no alcohol beers, wines and soft drinks available in some of Cambridge’s best venues.

The first round is on Adnams (and their low and no ambassador Tom) at the Castle Inn, where you’ll receive a warm and friendly welcome along with the full range of Adnams low and no alcohol beers and wines behind the bar. Tom will explain why these drinks are so important to their brewery, and how they are hoping to get them into every pub in the UK.

You’ll continue on to two further local venues, both offering great food and an awesome low and no alcohol drinks menu.

All these pubs can be found on clubsodaguide.com, the UK’s first online guide for mindful drinkers -the best low and no alcohol drinks, and the venues where you can find them.

This event is aimed at anyone interested in low and no alcohol drinks. You don’t have to be alcohol-free to come along, but will be asked to enter into the spirit of the occasion by avoiding drinks over 3%.

Club Soda co-founder, Laura Willoughby MBE said:

“Feel you have to dodge the pub to stick to your new health goals? Well, pubs and bars are changing and now stock a better range of low and no alcohol drinks. Our mindful pub crawl around Cambridge will be a great opportunity for a Saturday night out with friends – old and new – and more importantly, no next-day hangover.  We’ve also timed it perfectly for the last weekend of Sober October so anyone taking part in a challenge can see the options available for the rest of the year”.

WONDER Festival is about sober partying and fun. WONDER women, Suzie and Lisa put on great events in Cambridge where there’s no need for alcohol because everyone has such a good time without it.

“It’s fab to join up with Club Soda and Adnams who both want to offer something different in Cambridge and this pub crawl certainly is different!”

Lisa Pollitt said:

“It’s so important to offer an alternative night out where you can connect with like-minded people. We’re very excited to be part of the first ever mindful pub crawl in the city.”

Adnams Brand Ambassador – Low/No ABV, Tom Evans said:

“Innovation is part of our DNA at Adnams – for over 147 years we have only put our name to drinks that we are proud of.  The award-winning Ghost Ship 0.5% and our selection of low-alcohol wines gives our customers new and old more choices about what they want to drink. We provide drinks ‘for everybody not just somebody’ and the Mindful Drinking Pub Crawl is a fantastic way of showcasing this.”
