The newest Edinburgh’s Craft beer Festival will be taking over Summerhall next weekend with more than 60 beers pouring over its 4 sessions.
All your beers included!
Gravity beer Festival is an “all inclusive” festival. With their ticket visitors will be given a branded glass, access to the beer halls and the possibility to sample anything on offer.
Visitors will be invited to work their way through the Beer List (responsibly of course) and try some of the best beers in the UK.
They’ll also have the chance to meet the brewers themselves and attend one of Gravity exclusive talks and tastings!
Wine lovers have not been forgotten by the organisers as festival sponsor Beer52 will bring some of their latest Wine52 releases.
About the festival Andrew Barnett from Barney’s Beer, co-organiser of the festival with Summerhall, said:
“I am really excited about next weekend. It’s not every day you get to try so many great beers in tip-top condition, poured by the people who make them, all in one great venue.”
Amber Cordiner Head of Events & Operation at Summerhall added:
“As we gear up to the first ever (of many – I am sure) Gravity Beer Festival, we’re reminded of everything we love about beer festivals… Brewers showcasing fantastic beer, sharing the stories and knowledge behind them, people discovering new tastes or finding comfort in the flavours they know they love.
We’ll also have some great local street food on offer in the courtyard so you can enjoy a bit to eat alongside your new (or old) favourite pint.”
Delicious food on offer
The team has selected the very best of Edinburgh’s food trucks to sustain all the hungry guests during the festival.
The already unmissable Summerhall very own “Summerhall Slices” pizzas will be joined by the latest burger sensation “BB Burger”. Created by the team behind the legendary Pitt Market, “BB Burger” is already on all the best foodies’ maps. Vegan options will be available.
Everyone Welcome
Creators behind the event, Summerhall and Barney’s beer have made sure the festival will be a welcoming and safe space for everyone.
Non beer and non-alcoholic options will be offered at the Festival and Gravity Beer Festival is part of the Everyone Welcome Initiative.

About Barney’s Beer
Established in 2012, Barney’s Beer is an award-winning microbrewery based at Summerhall Arts & Culture Centre, Edinburgh. Taking our inspiration from the creativity of the city that surrounds us – and picking up where the original Summerhall Brewery est. 1700s left off – at Barney’s Beer we simply aim to make beers we are proud to share.
Using only the best ingredients and traditional techniques and processes, Barney’s Beer has been supplying Edinburgh’s bars, restaurants, and bottle shops for over a decade. From modern takes on IPA, lagers, and Scotch Ales to Fruited Sour Beer and Imperial Stouts, our open-minded approach means our ambitions lie in improving and building upon our own skills and craft as opposed to growth at any cost.
