korev extends Marine Conservation Society partnership

24th March 2023 – St Austell Brewery’s flagship lager brand, korev, has extended its partnership with the Marine Conservation Society for a third year.

The relationship forms part of korev’s continued commitment to supporting green, sustainable initiatives that help safeguard the environment and the brand’s coastal homeland. Throughout the year, the partnership will see korev sponsoring beach cleans across Cornwall and running a series of promotions – including donation mechanics both at St Austell pubs and on korev can packs – to educate beer lovers on the detrimental impact littering has on the planet.

Laura McKay, Marketing & Communications Director at St Austell Brewery, said: “We are very proud to be extending our partnership with the Marine Conservation Society. The charity works tirelessly in its fight against the threat to our oceans, a cause that is close to the heart of the korev brand. We are committed to promoting a responsible approach to enjoying all that our unique and beautiful part of the world has to offer, and our ongoing partnership with the Marine Conservation Society plays a big part in that.”

Richard Roberts, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Marine Conservation Society, said: “Our partnership with korev plays a vital part in the work that we do to recover the health of our ocean. We’re excited to be working ever more closely with korev to open the opportunity to more people to get involved with our beach cleaning programme, Beachwatch. Anyone can sign up to be a beach clean organiser or volunteer. This year we’re looking forward to running beach clean events with korev throughout September.”

Born in Cornwall, korev (4.8% ABV) is a lager brewed in the Helles style, available in bottle and can from Morrisons, ASDA, and Co-op stores nationwide. St Austell Brewery unveiled a vibrant new rebrand for its flagship lager 2021 inspired by its Cornish roots.

The Marine Conservation Society is a UK charity campaigning for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean. The charity tackles threats to habitats and species by working closely with communities, businesses, and governments, organising beach cleans, and shaping government policy.
