The Brewers Association today released a comment regarding the FTC’s decision to block the Kroger-Albertsons merger:
“The Brewers Association (BA) supports the FTC’s decision to block the Kroger-Albertsons merger as there are significant concerns regarding the competitive impact of this proposed merger,” said Bob Pease, president and CEO of the Brewers Association. “The BA believes that further consolidation of retail channels will limit consumer choice and exacerbate the barriers small and independent craft brewers face when seeking access to market.”
