Krombacher Strengthens Its Links With Sport By Supporting British Superbikes

Krombacher, Germany’s number one premium beer, has signed a one-year deal to sponsor one of motorcycle racing’s hottest talents, Daniel Stamper.

Racing for team ‘MackRory Racing’, Dan, who is based in Leicestershire, will be competing in the Pirelli 600 Superstock which is designed to identify new racing talent within British Superbikes and provides a progression route to higher classes of racing.  Dan’s aspirations are to join the leagues of racers such as Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne, the three-time champion of the British Superbike Championship who also came through this route.

Julian Penny from Krombacher said: “We’re delighted to sponsor Dan in the early stages of his promising career and wish him success in the forthcoming season.  This is the second sponsorship for us in motorcycle racing which is incredibly exciting and thrilling sport.  Televised live on Eurosport, as well as being shown on ITV4, the sport attracts over 7.6 million viewers and each meeting has an average attendance over 30,000 people making it the perfect environment for our target audience.  The sponsorship of Dan, which includes branding on his bike, crash helmet and leathers along with tickets to each of his events, reinforces Krombacher’s commitment to sport and further adds to the support already given to cricket and football clubs in the UK.”

In its home market, Krombacher is the country’s most famous sports sponsor along with being a keen supporter of grass roots sports.  Their associations include the beer as the official partner of Bundesliga, Germany’s primary football league, to co-partner of the Hamburg Marathon which took place last month.
