Living Wage beer festival, 10 – 12 November

The Five Points Brewing Company and Mason & Company are celebrating Living Wage Week with a Living Wage beer festival

Mason & Company, the craft beer bar in Hackney Wick, London, is celebrating Living Wage Week with a beer festival. Run by Hackney’s Five Points Brewing Company, the bar will be showcasing the UK’s independent Living Wage breweries across their 20 beer taps.

Both Mason & Company and The Five Points Brewing Company are officially accredited Living Wage employers. The Five Points was the first brewery in the country to be accredited as a Living Wage employer, and the count of accredited breweries now stands at 18 in total.

The breweries on tap will include Weird Beard, Orbit Beers, Signature Brewery, Tempest, Lost & Grounded, and Gipsy Hill. Expect a plethora of beers and styles, from hoppy pale ales to coffee porters, German inspired lagers to Belgian saisons.

“We pay the Living Wage because we believe it is the right thing to do, and it’s just a part of our commitment to investing in our staff” explains Ed Mason, founder of the Five Points Brewing Company. “I believe it also helps contribute to a more motivated, happier staff team, with lower staff turnover” he adds.

The festival will run from Friday 10th November until Sunday 12th November.  Mason & Company is a short walk from Hackney Wick station or a bus ride away from Stratford station.
