London Brewer hits export milestone

Fuller’s ships 10 million pints abroad in just 12 months

In a big year for the capital, London brewer Fuller’s has revealed that it has recently shipped its 10 millionth pint of English ale overseas in just under 12 months.

As the eyes of the world start to turn towards London, one of its oldest industries appears to be capturing the imagination of drinkers worldwide as the firm has secured deals to send beer as far afield as China, Brazil and Malaysia.

Flagship brand London Pride is as popular abroad as it is in the UK, while stronger ales such as ESB, London Porter and Vintage Ale – a connoisseur’s ale brewed annually with the best of that year’s hops and malt – also find favour.

Exports are now the fastest growing market for Fuller’s as beer drinkers around the world develop a taste for English ale.

Ian Bray, Managing Director of The Fuller’s Beer Company, commented: “Fuller’s beers are world-renowned for their quality and flavour and our growing export sales are testament to this. We’ve been exporting our quality ales for a number of years but recent times have seen us quickly gaining fans from more far-flung corners of the globe.”
