LONDON CRAFT BEER CRUISE TO EMBARK ON MAIDEN VOYAGE

London’s–and perhaps the UK’s–first ever “Craft Beer Cruise” is to embark on its maiden voyage this April. Taking place aboard The Pride of London, the cruise will take in four hours of iconic sites along the River Thames, from The Houses of Parliament to the O2 Arena. During the cruise attendees will have the chance to taste beer from 10 of London’s best independent craft breweries, enjoy a bite to eat and take in talks and tasting sessions hosted by award winning beer writers.

The event will take place on Saturday the 14th of April. Tickets will include six generous tasters of beer from breweries including: Affinity, Anspach & Hobday, Brew By Numbers, Beavertown, CRATE, Gipsy Hill, House, Pillars and The Kernel. On board events will include tutored tastings from London Beer Sommelier and founder James Kellow (often found leading fantastic tours around Hackney Wick’s Crate Brewery) plus a talk on food and beer matching along with a topical debate hosted by beer writer Matthew Curtis.

“Drinking some of London’s best beer on a boat, it’s hard to imagine a better afternoon! But we have,” Kellow says. “We’ve added fascinating, fun content and delicious food pairings to make this maiden voyage an unforgettable experience that we are really excited about.”

“I’ve hosted plenty of beer fueled events in my time,” Curtis adds. “However, I’ve never hosted one on a boat! I’m really looking forward to taking to the water and presenting some of the best beers London has to offer. I just have to remember to strap on my sea legs!”

Tickets for the cruise start at just £35.00 and are available now via Design my Night. For further information please contact James Kellow on haveabeer@craftybarstars.co.uk
