Organisers will broadcast a live digital version with the team behind Youtube’s Craft Beer Channel
London Craft Beer Festival (LCBF) and the Craft Beer Channel have teamed up to host a digital version of the postponed event this Saturday.
The Lockdown Craft Beer Festival will be held at Little Faith in Deptford and broadcast live to thousands of beer lovers across Youtube and Facebook, sponsored by Lallemand Brewing and Collective Arts Brewing.
Hosted by Jonny and Brad of the Craft Beer Channel, the live show will feature interviews with local breweries such as Five Points and Brick, an exclusive with the team at Mikkeller’s new brewpub in Islington, cook offs with great chefs, and live tastings with an array of breweries that were supposed to be at London Craft Beer Festival this weekend.
The show starts at 4pm (link here) and runs until late, with viewers able to buy a drinkalong box from Beer Merchants for the show and even book seats at the outside space of Little Faith to witness it all unfold from a safe distance.
For those who can’t wait for the real thing, LCBF is excited to say the festival will go ahead in 2020 on the weekend of November 27th and 28th and tickets are already on sale. Greg Wells, cofounder of the London Craft Beer Festival, says: “Postponing the festival was heartbreaking, so we’re really excited that the Craft Beer Channel wanted to make sure we could still celebrate the weekend.”
Jonny Garrett, cofounder of the Craft Beer Channel, says: “LCBF is one of the weekends I look forward to most every year. When it was postponed we immediately contacted Greg to see if we could still make something happen that brings together the amazing food, beer and music it is famous for. We’ve got an amazing line-up and can’t wait for the live chaos to begin.”
