Long Live the Local campaign gathers pace but still seeks further support

The Long Live the Local campaign recently passed the milestone of 170,000 petition signatures, and over 80,000 people have written to their local MP asking them to back the call for a cut in beer duty. With a possible General Election this winter the campaign is still targeting tens of thousands more people to sign to keep the pressure on politicians across the political spectrum. The more pressure we can collectively assert, the better the chances are that they will listen.

The campaign needs you to ramp up your support and ensure you amplify the campaign to your staff, customers & consumers. There are two main ways you can help:

1. Amplify the Campaign: Use the campaign’s social and digital assets on your company and brand social channels and websites to raise awareness for the campaign, and drive people to sign on the website. Please use this link to find campaign films & a range of new social posts: https://we.tl/t-hbVzoX4cSh

2. Galvanise Staff: Drive awareness and the importance of the campaign amongst your staff and encourage them to sign the petition and email their local MP at www.longlivethelocal.pub. It takes less than one minute. This year the campaign have introduced personalised URL addresses for your company which will hopefully help staff feel more connected to the campaign and allow you to see what level of engagement you are generating. These are ready to use immediately.

Please can you forward this email, links and attachments to anyone else in your teams that can help make these two things happen.
