The show has been developed to help drive the low and no alcohol sector forward
With dates confirmed for next year’s show, Low2NoBev 2021 will be the essential event for low and no alcohol drinks buyers and suppliers to strengthen existing relationships and forge partnerships to push the sector forward.
Organised by sector specialists, William Reed Business Media, The Low2NoBev Show will take place at The Old Truman Brewery, London, on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th June 2021. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample the vast range of high-quality drinks now available and the show will provide the most comprehensive analysis and advice on stocking the right range in a year when low and no alcohol drinks promise to go truly mainstream.
“With 19% of the UK adult population now teetotal, we have committed a huge investment to support the sector’s development” commented Dan Dixon, Exhibitions Sales Director at William Reed. “The low and no market is booming and is a category that operators cannot afford to ignore, so Low2NoBev 2021 has been developed to provide unrivalled insight into the business benefits of getting the right products on the drinks menu.”
A survey conducted by The Portman Group and YouGov in January showed that almost a quarter (23%) of British adults who drink alcohol had either switched the majority of their drinking, or were likely to consider switching their usual drinks to lower alcohol options in the next six months. Reports suggest that staying at home has not adversely affect these intentions, with a follow up survey revealing that of those who drank alcohol prior to lockdown 38% said that they were drinking the same during it , 22% were drinking less and 5% had stopped drinking alcohol altogether.
“Consumer interest and growth in low and no alcohol drinks shows no sign of waning” continued Dixon “and Low2NoBev 2021 will include three distinct spaces with a dedicated focus on the core segments driving the market.
“Low2NoWorld will immerse visitors in the breadth of innovation across this exciting category and offer discovery of the products leading the way in the market. This flows into Wellness which presents drinks specifically harnessing the massive global trend for health and wellbeing and an array of NPD fuelled by consumer demand. The third area, Night-time, shows off the key players challenging the status quo that alcohol is essential for having a good time. Although 20% of consumers drink no or low alcohol drinks in pubs and bars, this rises to over 50% for 18-34s year olds, so understanding your customer base is essential.
“Low2NoBev 2021 will also offer two days of essential thought leadership content on the Quench Live stage, driven by trusted media brands and featuring a host of industry experts. We are already sharing insights and opinion through the monthly newsletter which is delivered to over 34,000 industry professionals” said Dixon “and this offers year-round communication and targeted digital marketing opportunities for brand exposure and NPD promotion.”
The 2020 show was a sell-out prior to enforced postponement but a move to a bigger show space has opened the door for additional exhibitors to establish a presence. Low2NoBev 2021 will be the essential event for the industry, with companies including Heineken, Lucky Saint, Ceders and Diageo, plus Britvic, STRYYK and Caleno amongst the wide range of suppliers already signed up and eager to share their experience with retailers.
“Low2NoBev 2021 provides the perfect opportunity for customers and suppliers to come together to share learning’s and present ideas around this space and we can’t wait to get involved” added Sarah McCarthy, Head of on-trade Category Development, Diageo.
