Meantime opens its doors for International Women’s Day 2023

Fifteen women join the team behind the scenes in Greenwich for special collaboration brew

London, March 2023: This week, Meantime Brewery celebrated International Women’s Day by taking part in a collaboration brew organised by International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD).

This is the 10th year of IWCBD, which is a worldwide annual event open to all women working in the sector or interested to learn more about beer and brewing. The theme for this year’s brew was ‘Unite at 10’.

Fifteen female participants were invited down to the Greenwich site to brew 2,000 pints of a crisp, sessionable lager on the Meantime pilot kit. The day featured hands-on brewing for participants and a rare insight into the inner workings of a modern craft brewery – with talks from some of Meantime’s women brewers and colleagues in several different areas of the business including quality, packaging, engineering and sustainability.

Zoe Edwards, Operations Manager at Meantime hosted the event, and shared her reflections about the day:

“We were delighted to open our doors for the International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day this year. At Meantime, we’re really proud of the role women have played in beer throughout history, and we have a number of brilliant and talented women on our team here today. It was a fantastic day, and we hope all our guests enjoyed experiencing the magic of bringing a new beer to life with us.”
