BrewLDN 2020 reveal final details of breweries, Chef’s Table food space, tasting sessions, talks and more.

The final details can now be revealed for what is the most ambitious and essential beer festival in the UK. BrewLDN have announced the final breweries list, details of the unique Chef’s Table food space, music from DJs Artwork and Greg Wilson plus The Old Dirty Brasstards as well as interactive tasting sessions, workshops and talks for this informative and delicious gathering which takes place on 27th – 29th February 2020 at London’s The Old Truman Brewery.

The Beer

With over 150 exhibitors, you will never find as many of the world’s finest beers gathered in one place as you will at BrewLDN. Sup the ones you already love, discover the ones you are about to fall in love with and get adventurous with some bold new tastes before anyone else on the planet. Highlights include all-female brewers Mothership, wood-fired brewery Cassels from NZ and local London and UK breweries such as Small Beer Brew Co, London Fields Brewery, Edinburgh’s Stewart Brewing, Tiny Rebel in Wales, SALT from Saltaire, Harbour Brewing Cornwall, Brew York and the Padstow Brewing Co. Other drinks are also on the menu with a strong cider lineup, Fever-Tree championing whiskey and ginger mixer combinations and 19 Crimes who bring some of the finest wines around.

The Food

To soak up all this beer love and keep you fuelled, BrewLDN are introducing a fully immersive food and drink space called BrewDining. Here guests can take a seat at the Chef’s Table where Guinness Open Gate Brewery, Villa Ascenti Gin and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey team up with some of London’s culinary legends. Carefully selected dishes from the kitchens of Indian barbecue specialist Brigadiers, purveyors of fresh traditional past La Nonna and London’s only traditional Kansas City BBQ, Prairie Fire, will be paired with the flavour profiles of speciality beers, gin and whiskey. While exploring BrewDining you can pop into the Bulleit Beer Barbers for a ‘Whiskey & Trim’ grooming experience or take part in a beer cocktail masterclass at BrewCocktails courtesy of cocktail culture pioneers WORLD CLASS drinks.

But that’s not all; other food traders at BrewLDN include beer snack favourites Serious Pig and knock-out Indian hot kati specialists Kolkati. Cheese connoisseurs Two Belly will be serving up the finest cheeses and grilled cheese sandwiches and BrewLDN will also be collaborating with the UK’s leading vegan festival Vegan Nights who bring their favourite plant based eats for the vegan, vegan-curious and veggie diners.

The Music

The soundtrack to BrewLDN has been carefully assembled to take in party beats at DJ Artwork’s very own pop up rave pub with help from some of his most notable friends. Expect all manner of classics, house and disco gems on Friday and Saturday, while Thursday sees long time edit master and funk and soul historian Greg Wilson join the dots between the old and the new. Throughout the event, the lively Old Dirty Brasstards brass band will roam the main beer hall as they play their energetic covers of everything from Prince to The Libertines.

Talks and Tastings

Just announced are the exciting tasting sessions, workshops and talks as curated by award-winning beer expert Melissa Cole, author of The Beer Kitchen, and Gabe Cook, the Ciderologist and resident expert on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. They will be overseeing interactive tasting sessions from; Brewers Association, Brooklyn Brewery, Freedom, Hawkes and Beer Merchants plus a talk on flavour and how we perceive it with famed beer writer Pete Brown. Tastings and topics include; A taste exploration of beer, cider and cheese pairings with cheese connoisseurs Two Belly, American craft beer discovery and a cider making workshop with Sandford Orchards where the best brew will be put into production. These are offered on a first come first served basis.

New business support

BrewLDN will also be searching for the next generation of beer businesses with their BrewAccelerator start-up support scheme. Brewers or other innovative businesses that are less than two years old will be selected by a top team of expert industry judges and could win a year of guidance and mentoring worth over £50,000 as well as a stand in the main room at BrewLDN 2020. Partners providing support and mentorship to the winners include marketeers The Drinks Collective, branding and tech experts BrewBroker, Great Yorkshire Brewery for recipe and production, JCCA Accountancy, Boutique Beer for trade and marketing sales and of course BrewLDN for exhibiting.

‘We have been around this industry for some-time and feel it is our duty to give something back. Where the market could go is as important as where it is now and new business will drive this. We want to champion innovation and hope that the inaugural BrewAccelerator will help many budding start-ups along the way for many years to come’ Daniel Rowntree – BrewLDN

The countdown is now on for the UK’s most complete and comprehensive beer, music and food festival.

Tickets are priced from £15 at brewldn.com. Tickets include a free BrewLDN festival glass to use during the day, BrewLDN x Ferment festival magazine plus a Beer52 free beer voucher.
