Huge gratitude to Norfolk Brewhouse and St Andrews Brew House for hosting the event, supplying a buffet for us to snack on, and giving us the opportunity to try – among other things – their rather special collaborative brew. It’s a Dutch Hoppenbeer style beer that lingered on until early 16th century. It’s made largely of oat malt with some wheat malt – but no barley malt at all.
