“Midnight Sun” – Pouring from Fourpure Taproom taps on Saturday 18th April (11am – 5pm)

At Fourpure we are always very excited to find interesting local businesses to work with, which is why we are very happy to announce that we’ve partnered with craft coffee makers Sandows to brew an exceptional beer with!

You may have read about Sandows in the likes of The Evening Standard, Metro or Time Out. Luke Suddards and Hugh Duffie opened their coffee brewery in 2013 in Holloway. They employ a unique process of slow brewing with cold water and triple filtration, resulting in an incredibly smooth and extremely clear coffee!

Our coffee pale ale has been brewed on our small batch pilot brewhouse and we will dispense it through our taps on Saturday 18th April 2015. Luke and Hugh will be coming down, bringing their portable bar pouring some cold tasty coffee, and there is even a rumour they will bring their Nitro Cold Brew too!

We hope you can make it down, try the coffee pale ale, give us some feedback and enjoy the afternoon!
The Taproom is open as usual, 11am until 5pm, and there will be a food truck to satisfy your food cravings from midday!

See below tasting notes for Midnight Sun:
“In the spirit of a black IPA or a white stout, Midnight Sun is a beer designed to play with your expectations. Supported by a bready malt foundation, this hop forward pale ale leads with lemon, passion fruit and lychee on the palate from a healthy dose of Citra. The zingy hop flavour is complimented with luscious tropical aromas of grapefruit and melon from a blend of dry hops. Adding to both the palate and aroma, Ethiopian grown Yirgacheffe coffee plays a subtle but highly complementary role. Prized for its mild floral aroma and mild lemon acidity balanced by a mild sweetness and peach flavour, the coffee is used here to elevate the juicy hop character as opposed to the roasty-toasty malts as is the case with most coffee beers. Made with the incomparable cold-brew experts at Sandows London, the coffee was cold steeped in the finished beer overnight to extract the natural fruit flavour of the beans and avoid the secondary roasted character.”
