Moonwake release Weissbier

Moonwake release Weissbier in time for Oktoberfest

This traditional German style wheat beer was brewed with Munich yeast and they used a traditional step mash technique

Moonwake’s latest beer is a 5.0% Weissbier, being released Thursday 15th September. The beer is perfect for Oktoberfest celebrations.
Head Brewer Vinny Rosario said: “Weissbier, meaning ‘white beer’, is a German-style wheat beer which truly reflects the versatility of a beer’s grist. We’ve used Classic Munich Yeast and a traditional step mash technique to release banana and fruit candy flavours, balanced with clove notes. Bready notes from the wheat and light fruit flavours from the hops round off this effervescent German beer.”

Find the beer on tap and in cans in various independent pubs and retailers as well as in Moonwake’s taproom and on their online shop from Thursday 15.09.22.

Notes to the editor:

Moonwake: “the moon’s reflection on a body of water” speaks to the brewery’s Leith Shore location, the importance of water as an ingredient, and our beer’s reflection of our collective experience.

Moonwake beer is precision brewed with mindful intention using quality ingredients.

Directors and brewers Vinny Rosario and Finlay Heslop founded Moonwake Beer Co. in 2021. They started their beer careers on opposite sides of the world, Vinny in New Zealand and Fin in the UK. They bring over a decade of experience in brewing to Moonwake, for both of them it is their creative outlet.
