One of Edinburgh’s newest breweries is joining forces with Scottish brewery of the year winners Fierce Beer for their first collaboration beer
They’re brewing a hoppy and malt-forward red Rye IPA with a synergistic blend of rye and crystal malts with notes of stone fruit and pear from Calypso, Ekuanot and El-Dorado hops. As their first collaboration, this red beer will have the FIERCE treatment with dried orange peel added during fermentation.
Sarah Sinclair, Marketing & Events Manager, said: “We are excited and humbled to be doing our first collaboration with Fierce Beer. It is fantastic to have the support in our early days of a fellow Scottish brewery who is equally as ambitious. We are keen to learn from and each other by sharing our experience and creativity with one another, reflecting in the beers we’ll produce with one another.”
Rye IPA 5.5% will be available via moonwakebeer.com/shop from 05/11/21 at £4.40 RRP as well as being available on draught in Fierce’s bars and Moonwake’s taproom. Please get in touch if you’d like samples.
