Sour Power! – now our 7th annual festival of spontaneous, lambic, and wild beer – is back again. We are hosting it company-wide over the upcoming bank holiday weekend at the end of May. We’re thrilled to extend the invitation to all you (sour) beer enthusiasts out there.
You can enjoy Sour Power! across all four of our Mother Kelly’s taprooms (Bethnal Green E2, Stratford E20, Vauxhall SE1, Tottenham N17), as well as our sibling pub, The Queen’s Head. The festival officially kicks off at noon on Friday 24th May, and runs through until the end of the day on Monday 27th May.
Get ready for an incredible lineup of sour brews! All locations will pour a couple of exclusive-to-us House Sours throughout the event. This year it’s none other than “Old Blush” and “Cherry Gose” from Fonta Flora of the US. Every venue will have a different, gorgeous brew by Jester King also gracing their taps. Sites will feature their own unique selection of sour beers – no overlapping, guaranteed. We’re talking triple figures of amazing sours rotating across our taprooms, including cans and bottles at those locations with fridges. We are certain you’ll discover plenty of new beers and something truly stand-out.
But that’s not all – join us on the evening of Thursday 23rd May, for a pre-festival bash at MK Bethnal Green. Here you can get first sips of some sours whilst gathering with us for an Industry Social. We don’t need much of an excuse for seriously tasty beer and a good ole chinwag.
Feel free to spread the word to your teams and friends. Please RSVP to socials@motherkellys.co.uk for the launch party, so we know to expect you. Not long to go now!
