Mothership re-releases Codebreaker New England Double IPA

We are excited to re-release this beer from our Extraordinary Women series, celebrating pioneering women who have broken down boundaries and stood up for women’s rights in our recent history.

Codebreaker is a veritable fruit salad of a New England Double IPA, dedicated to Joan Clarke, a little known cryptanalyst whose work in WW2 in cracking the Enigma Code saved countless lives. It is smooth and juicy to drink, with big flavours coming from the unique Enigma hop.

What makes this beer special?
A big bold beer, with a huge aroma and intense fruity flavours. It’s strong but surprisingly smooth.

Hazy, light straw coloured. Creamy head.

Intense fruity hop aroma. Clean neutral malt in background.

High tropical fruit hop flavour. Low-medium perceived bitterness. Slight fruity esters from the yeast. Low-medium malt flavour. Gentle perception of alcohol.

Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. Gentle warmth from alcohol. No astringency. Medium carbonation.
