Neptune Brewery’s Ezili Pale Ale Chosen as Beer of the Day for Cask Ale Week

Liverpool-based Neptune Brewery has been chosen to be featured as ‘Beer of the Day’ for Cask Ale Week. The independent craft brewers have had their award-winning Ezili pale ale selected as the chosen beer to be promoted on Friday 25th September.

A popular core beer from Neptune Brewery, Ezili has been chosen as ‘Beer of the Day’ for 25th September during Cask Ale Week.

Ezili is a 4% pale ale, available as part of the core range of Neptune Brewery beers. This citrus pale has flavours of grapefruit pith and lemon, with a light bitterness. The beer won Merseyside’s Best Beer 2019 via international beer review site, RateBeer. As well as a cask version, Ezili is also available in keg and 440ml cans.

Cask Ale Week is an industry-wide campaign to help celebrate Britain’s national drink and to promote the pubs, clubs, and taprooms that serve cask beer. The 2020 week runs from Thursday 24th September to Sunday 4th October, with promotions, competitions, and events taking place across the UK.

Julie O’Grady, Co-owner of Neptune Brewery commented, “We’re thrilled that Ezili has been selected as one of the ‘Beer of the Day’ beers. It’s great to continue to be part of Cask Ale Week, at a time when cask ale and our pubs really need our support.”

Les O’Grady, Co-owner and Head Brewer of Neptune Brewery said, “Ezili is a great sessionable beer; we’re continually brewing it to keep up with demand, with another batch being released next week.”

Neptune Brewery launched its online store during lockdown, for customers across the UK who aren’t able to get its beers in their local area. Cask, keg, and cans are also available for local customers to take out from the brewery on a Friday (3pm – 7pm). The taproom opens on Saturdays (bookings only) for anyone in the area wanting to visit.
