New Historic Brewing Conference comes to Manchester

Some of the world’s finest commentators on brewing history are gathering for an exciting new event this August.

The Historic Brewing Conference is on 5th – 6th August at the Fairfield Social Club. It is being organised by beer history enthusiasts, Steve “Beer Nouveau” Dunkley and Keith Sowerby.

Speakers include Pete Brown, Lars Marius Garshol and Jane Peyton. Their talks will examine brewing traditions from prehistory to Prohibition. The event is being compared by former Beer Writer of the Year, Emma Inch.

Alongside the papers there will be time for socialising and networking. A special conference bar will showcase the heritage beers under discussion.
