NEW IN from Signature Brew: Luftballon Festbier, Pink Vinyl Gose & Equaliser Antipodean NEIPA

East London based brewery, Signature Brew (www.signaturebrew.co.uk), is on a mission: to revolutionise the quality of beer at live music events. Launched in 2011, Signature is the world’s number one brewery for band collaboration beers, having brewed with IDLES, Mogwai, Alt-J, Slaves, Mastodon, Frank Turner, Rodney P, Enter Shikari, Sports Team, MC Dynamite and many more.  Autumn 2020 sees the re-launch of Pink Vinyl (4.6%, £3.29 per 330ml can), the vibrantly coloured sell-out fruited gose, alongside the launch of two new beers, Luftballon (ABV 5.5%, £3.35 per 330ml can), a lively and light festbier and Equaliser (ABV 6%, £3.40 per 330ml can), a balanced and bold Antipodean New England IPA.

Back by popular demand, Pink Vinyl is a fruited sour beer that oozes high fidelity black cherry and raspberry flavours, finishing off with a crackle of sea salt and a hit of hibiscus, it emits an inviting deep pink hue.

Luftballon is new in for autumn; launched at Signature Brew’s Alternative Oktoberfest, it’s a moreish, golden festbier with a refreshing bitterness and an aroma of lightly toasted bread. The malty character of Luftballon is produced using the traditional ‘decoction’ mashing method. This process darkens the grains and adds toasted and caramelised flavours, resulting in the lightly ‘toasty’ malt character in this beer. Named after the biggest German language single, Nena’s 99 Luftballons – just don’t drink 99 of them.

Also just in for the new season is Antipodean New England IPA, Equaliser, a hazy beer that balances hits of tropical fruit & white grape from the finest Australian & New Zealand hops, while amplifying an aroma of gooseberry & passion fruit.

Brewed in Walthamstow, enjoyed by beer lovers and music superfans globally, their beers are of unrivalled quality, and they were crowned SIBA’s highly prestigious Brewery Business of the Year 2018.

2020’s Covid 19 crisis has seen Signature Brew get creative to keep the beer flowing in people’s homes, creating The Pub in a Box, hand delivered in London by musicians who’ve had their tours cancelled (paid London Living Wage) and delivered via courier nationally. When this all blows over, Signature Brew are also selling tickets for a proper piss up in a brewery, as well as two Skints gigs (their first in E17 for 10 years) as something for everyone to look forward to – we can all raise a glass to that!

As of Saturday 4th July, Signature Brew’s Walthamstow Brewery Bar, Haggerston Taproom and E17 Burger Bar, The Collab, are all open and pouring fresh pints, including the latest in the autumn collection. There’s also a fresh selection of live music booked into the Brewery Bar to see out the year – see you there!
