Online Event – Fog on the Channel, Part II – July 14th at 6:30pm BST

We may be called the British Guild of Beer Writers, but we’re proud as an organisation to have among our membership writers and communicators from across Europe and beyond.

These members are perfectly placed to give us the lowdown on beer and brewing in their home region. So to celebrate these links, we’re launching a series of talks with our members from continental Europe.

Fog on the Channel – Conversations on European Beer, Part II

Wednesday, July 14th 2021

6:30 pm – 7:30 pm BST

Online via Zoom

For the second session of the series, we’re delighted to be joined by two fantastic educators and writers:
  • Susan Boyle, drinks consultant, beer judge, award-winning drinks writer, Fulbright Smithsonian Museum Fellow, and currently working on a PhD; and
  • Lana Svitankova, writer, translator, educator and Ukraine’s first ever certified Cicerone

We’ll talk what’s going on in the worlds of Irish, Ukrainian, and Swiss beer, the art of translation, the intersection of beer and society, and much more besides.

The conversation will hosted by Eoghan Walsh, Guild member and founder of Brussels Beer City.

To RSVP, contact secretary@beerguild.co.uk.

All attendees will be sent the Zoom link the day before the event.
