Northern Monk Brewing Co are celebrating having asked members of the public to join them on the next phase of the breweries journey. Nearly 1,000 people have helped raise the initial target in just three hours and they are already well on the way to raising £1million.
One of the fastest growing food and drink businesses in the North, the brewery is planning to triple capacity and install a new packaging line as well as expanding their wild beer and barrel ageing program, and fast tracking plans for additional tap rooms in London and Manchester.
Russ Bissett, owner of Northern Monk Brewing Co, said: “What an incredible day. The North is definitely Rising. We were blown away by the level of support for what we’ve set out to do. We reached our £0.5M target in less than three hours. There are over 1,000 of us in our business now!
“This means we’re now overfunding and starting to consider sites for our tap rooms in London and Manchester. At the moment we are looking to raise £1M and give away up to 10% of our business for others that are keen to join us.”
