Nightingale Cider Announces Spring Range Launch in 440ml Cans with Cider? Yes! Campaign

Nightingale Cider Company is a family-run business based in Tenterden, Kent. The Nightingale family has been fruit farming in the area since 1948. They’ve been making small batch craft cider since 2009, keeping the process as natural as possible at every stage—their ciders and perries are made from 100% fruit juice and all are gluten-free and vegan.

Nightingale Cider’s delicious range of ciders and juices are handmade, using fruit from their farm and nearby Kentish orchards. Driven by their passion for the highest quality ciders, they bridge tradition with innovation to produce a range of flavoursome and exciting offerings for today’s drinker.

This Thursday the 8 April 2021, Nightingale Cider is releasing its spring range, which includes its Night Bird, Wild Disco and Falstaff Bramley sparkling ciders. In a first for Nightingale Cider, these three releases will be in 440ml can format. Previously, Night Bird and Wild Disco were available in 330ml cans (and the Falstaff Bramley in 500ml bottles).

To celebrate their foray into 440ml cans, Nightingale has rebranded these three ciders with ‘Cider? Yes!’ limited edition labels. The packaging will display this message in text prominently, encouraging drinkers to take a chance and discover some deliciously modern and complex ciders.

Sam Nightingale, Nightingale Cider founder and cider maker, explains the motivation behind the Cider! Yes campaign:

“The idea for the Cider? Yes! Campaign came off the back of listening to the Neutral Cider Hotel podcast episode with co-founder of Pellicle Magazine, Matthew Curtis. The discussion was focused on the ‘Cider is WIne’ initiative that encourages wine drinkers to explore ciders because cider can be just as sophisticated and elegant as wine. While this campaign is doing a lot of good work around the promotion of cider, I fundamentally believe that cider is cider!

A seed was planted in my mind. Working with our strong, clear messaging, I thought that a playful limited edition can label would be a great way to introduce our new 440ml cider cans.
The can offering for Nightingale Cider has always been about having fun and being progressive.  440ml has been the next step for us. So the question has to be ‘Cider?’ and the answer ‘Hell yes!’.

We want to help to facilitate more positive conversations around cider, our ciders are probably not what you expect, and the amazing renaissance that is currently happening around cider is bringing so many expressions of a complex, multifaceted and beautiful drink to visibility.”

These three ciders will be available on the Nightingale webshop and Cat in a Glass (Manchester) and Re:Stalk.
.
Nightingale’s range of ciders are available through Cambridge Wine Merchants and PigsEar South.

Ciders will be available online to purchase from the 8 April here.
