Nomadic Beers is delighted to announce that the Rose and Crown in Bradford has become the first pub addition to the business.

In 2017, the Rose and Crown re-opened after extensive renovation as part of the Grade II listed Sunbridge Wells complex. An original pub sign is on display that links the pub back to the 1870’s.

The pub had been managed by the team behind Sunbridge Wells, but as of 12th August 2019, the pub will be operated by Nomadic Beers.

“We’d contacted Sunbridge Wells about having our beers on in some of the bars, when Paul Gallagher, who looks after the whole complex, got in touch and asked if we’d like to fully manage the Rose and Crown instead!” said Gaffa Katie Marriott, owner of Nomadic Beers, based in Leeds.

“I spoke to Beer Evangelist Mike Hampshire about the idea and discussed partnering together to take the Rose and Crown on as part of the Nomadic Beers brand”.

“It’s fantastic to be taking on such a historic venue in the heart of Braford” said Mike, director of Nomadic Tap Rooms Ltd. “It’s a chance to help Bradford drive towards it’s potential of a great City Centre destination and we can showcase Nomadic Beers in a market we haven’t had much exposure in yet”

“The pub is free of tie, so as well as permanent Nomadic Beers lines, we can feature and support other local, small independent drinks producers and bring something new to Bradford.”

“We’ll also be creating local jobs with a long-term plan of giving opportunity to young people just beginning their working career and those with learning difficulties.”

“We’ve been looking for field experts to take on each of our venues in Sunbridge Wells” said Paul Gallagher, “I liked the Nomadic brand and I think it will work really well with the Rose and Crown.”

The pub will initially open Thursday to Saturday, 12pm until 11pm each week with the official opening taking place on Friday 16th August.

“For opening weekend we’ll have a full cask tap takeover of Nomadic Beers, plus some other new drinks not seen before in the Rose and Crown” Katie added.

The Rose and Crown is part of the Sunbridge Wells complex in the Underground Quarter of Bradford City Centre. The venue can be accessed by entrances on Aldermanbury, Sunbridge Road and Millergate.

The Rose and Crown can be found on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
