First Two On-line Seminars for Guild Members Announced: Led by Pete Brown & Roger Protz

The Guild is pleased to offer a broad range of events and trainings for our members. While our regular training courses and events have been suspended until further notice, we plan to run some briefer online seminars in the coming weeks.

The first will be held by Guild Chair Pete Brown:

Online Seminar | Book writing & self-publishing with Pete Brown

Wednesday, 22nd April from 8 – 9pm BST

Online via Zoom

Join Pete for a conversation about his approach to writing beer books. In addition to the many titles he’s previously published, Pete has recently started writing a new book, which he aims to finish and self-publish by 25th June. During the seminar, he’ll share his experience and the lessons learned for anyone thinking of doing something similar.

To RSVP, email secretary@beerguild.co.uk and you will be provided with the Zoom link for the meeting. Please note we will be limiting the seminar to 25 members.

Our next seminar will be led by legendary beer writer Roger Protz:

Online Seminar | Q&A: Beer writing with Roger Protz

Wednesday, 29th April from 8 – 9pm BST

Online via Zoom

Join Roger, one of the Guild’s most senior and respected members, for a question and answer session about beer writing. He’ll take member’s questions and share his insight from his years of experience.

Please submit questions in advance.

To RSVP, email secretary@beerguild.co.uk and you will be provided with the Zoom link for the meeting. Please note we will be limiting the seminar to 25 members.

Future seminars:

Are you an experienced member willing to volunteer an hour of your time to share your insight on blogging, editing, writing press releases, podcasting, photography, beer judging or tasting or any other relevant skillset to our members?

Please contact Guild Chair Pete (petebrownsemail@googlemail.com) or Guild Secretary Natalya (secretary@beerguild.co.uk) with your interest and we’ll schedule you in.

In normal circumstances, the Guild pays standard going rate to tutors and presenters and we’d never ask Guild members to work for free, but in this instance, we are asking for members to volunteer their time, if able, to share their skills with other members.

Any questions, please contact secretary@beerguild.co.uk.
