The Guild is looking for a volunteer to help support its social media accounts between mid-February to mid-October 2021 as part of the maternity leave cover for Board member Katie Wiles. This is a great opportunity for one of our members to learn more about the Guild and how the Board operates, while securing valuable beer-related social media experience for their professional development.
The role
Manage and oversee the Guild’s social media accounts, with a particular focus on the Guild’s Twitter page. This would include actively following new Guild members, promoting members with regular, scheduled tweets, tweeting news and highlights collated from the daily newsletter and creating promotional posts and graphics about Guild membership, training events and more. This is in addition to regular monitoring the account and responding to inbound enquiries.
The volunteer involved would also be expected to report on progress every other month at the Board’s virtual meeting, or, if unable to attend virtually, provide a summary / written update ahead of the event.
Time commitment
This role shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours per week.
How to volunteer
If you are interested in getting involved or would like to find out more, please contact secretary@beerguild.co.uk. Please provide a short covering letter outlining your interest and experience with an attached CV by Friday 5th February 2021.
