London, March 2025: Orbit Beers have teamed up with iconic hi-fi specialists Audio Gold to craft a beer in tribute to high-fidelity sound and brewing.
The Collaboration:
For over 30 years, Audio Gold has been a North London institution, based in Crouch End and renowned as an Aladdin’s cave of new and vintage hi-fi and vinyl. Their influence on London’s ‘Listening Bar’ scene is undeniable, with their expert sound systems installed in some of the country’s finest bars, venues, and restaurants—including the Orbit Beers taproom in South London.
“Audio Gold have helped us with our sound-system at Orbit taproom over the years, and in return, we have provided beers for events, record store days, and most recently ‘On the Corner’ Jazz nights at the Mild May Club” Commented Robbie Sykes, General Manager at Orbit Beers. “We thought it was about time we got together and brewed something special to celebrate the intersection of great sound and great beer—both built on craftsmanship, balance, and authenticity.”
Tasting Notes:
Fittingly brewed with a blend of First Gold and Brewers Gold hops, the Audio Golden Ale delivers a symphony of flavours. Expect aromas of marmalade, spice and blackcurrant, all balanced by a refreshingly gentle bitterness. The malt backbone, built on Golden Promise, Caramel Pils, and Oat Malt, offers a smooth, light body with a gentle caramel sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel. At 4.5% ABV, this golden-hued pour is an easy-drinker that doesn’t compromise character.
Audio Golden Ale will be available in bottle-conditioned form from March 20th at the Orbit Beers taproom, select bars and restaurants, and on the Orbit Beers web shop. Join us at the Orbit Beers taproom for the official launch event on Record Store Day 12th April, where we’ll be serving it on cask, featuring curated vinyl selections from Audio Gold’s extensive collection, with Audio Gold & Orbit Beers DJs plus special guests.
Where to Buy
Orbit Beers’ Audio Golden Ale 4.5% will be bottle-conditioned and will also be released to trade in casks from 20th March 2025.

Ethos
Orbit Beers are deeply rooted in European brewing traditions with a modern approach. They take classic styles and make them their own, with an eye for finesse and drinkability.
Orbit’s work is inspired by the ethos of their favourite record labels, who hold music and art above all else. Likewise, Orbit Beers accept no compromises when it comes to making their beer, winning multiple awards for their core range and famous Tzatziki Sour.
Story
In 2012, Orbit Beers Founder Robert got in his campervan and set off on a journey to visit every single brewery in his native Scotland. It took him from the northernmost island in Shetland to the Outer Hebrides, the Scottish Borders and even his hometown of Dundee.
On a trip to discover great beer, he also discovered great people! And realized that the brewing industry was home to a wonderfully warm and passionate community that he wanted to be a part of.
With an overwhelming desire to start up a brewery of his own, Robert headed back home to South London to find a team of like-minded people who shared his enthusiasm for beer, brewing, and music. Bringing those elements together under the railway arches in Walworth, Orbit Beers was born and began to build its now award-winning portfolio of beers.
Team
Brought together by their passion for good beer, they’re a team of music lovers, vinyl collectors, DJs, and musicians with decades of experience in the brewing industry between them.
They moved into the double railway arch in the heart of Walworth, South London in 2014, and since then, they’ve remained independently owned and all their beers have been brewed and packaged on-site.
