PASS plays its cards right

In January PASS announced that it had printed 80,000 training cards to raise the awareness of its proof of age scheme across the UK.  This stock was all used up within six weeks.   However new cards have now been printed and are available for order from PASS.

PASS Director Kate Winstanley said” There has been unparalleled demand for the training cards.  We ordered a year’s supply but they were all snapped up in six weeks.  Training cards have been ordered by security firms, pub companies, training providers and police.  This is a sign of the enormous interest in using PASS as the simplest and most robust Proof of Age.

I am delighted that once again Heineken have stepped in and are sponsoring the reprinting of these training cards and fresh supplies are now available.

Whilst it is extremely easy to order these PASS training cards, remember that it is impossible to get the real thing without having your identity rigorously verified. ”

Notes to Editors.

The Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) is the industry-led national proof of age accreditation scheme, supported by the Home Office, ACPO and the Trading Standards Institute (TSI). There are currently four national schemes and thirteen local schemes which are licensed to issue cards bearing the PASS hologram.

Only cards schemes which meet the stringent standards required for PASS accreditation are licensed to apply the PASS hologram.  Accredited card schemes are audited on a regular basis by Trading Standards Officers to ensure that they comply with PASS requirements.
