Peterborough based, acclaimed innovative ale brewery, Oakham Ales, has expanded its head office team to twenty-five people in the wake of several high profile awards for its beers. Four recent appointments include; Nick Jones, Area Sales Manager, Jim Whyman, Sales Support Supervisor, plus Mark Cripps and Dave Rogalski who join the Warehouse team.
The Brewery now has over 225 pubs signed up to its ‘Oakademy of Excellence’ and its popularity is growing each year. Established in late 2009, Oakademy member outlets serve Oakham Ales on a permanent basis and membership benefits include access to ‘limited edition’ ales, available only to ‘Oakademy of Excellence’ participants. .
Oakham Ales Green Devil IPA has recently been awarded SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) Supreme Champion Beer for 2012, as well as receiving numerous accolades at additional independent beer festivals. So positive has been the response to the draught beer that the Brewery has now launched the beer as a bottle conditioned product in a 660ml bottle.
Oakham’s bottled ale business has grown hugely year on year with its core brands JHB, Inferno, Citra, and Bishops Farewell available throughout the brewery’s heartland in the East-Midlands and East Anglia regions. Its key brands are now available in around thirty Waitrose and sixty Tesco stores. Oakham Ales is also brewing Cambridgeshire Golden Ale on a permanent basis for M&S which is available in 490 stores nationally
