Warwickshire brewery, Purity Brewing Company, has been named Business of the Year Less Than 50 Employees at the national SME Business Awards 2018.
The awards ceremony, which took place at Wembley Stadium on Friday (7th December), celebrated Britain’s industrious, hardworking and enterprising SMEs.
Purity lifted the trophy to rapturous applause after being named the winner thanks to outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices.
The judges commented ahead of Purity being announced as winners: “A simple idea brought to life by a shared passion has seen this organisation thrive in a competitive market. A thoroughly deserving winner!”
Entrants also had to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success that is exceptional for the size of the business.
Founded on a working farm in 2005, Purity has gone from strength-to-strength over the years, with a broad range of beers and an array of national and international brewing awards. The brewery now employs over 40 people and has expanded its sales regions as far as Nottingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Bristol and London.
Purity Brewing Company also supports a range of local sports teams, music festivals and other regional events, as well as being an official partner of Wasps Rugby and Ricoh Arena.
