Real Ale shortlisted for national ‘independent beer retailer award’ for fourth year in a row

Twickenham based, liquid delicatessen, Real Ale, has been short-listed for the prestigious Drinks Retailing Awards in the category of ‘Independent Beer Retailer of the Year’, for the fourth year in a row.  The local beer emporium has won this award against national competition for the past 3 years.

Real Ale Ltd is no stranger to awards; it was named ‘Retailer of the Year’ earlier this year by trade publication the Drinks Business short-listed against Waitrose and Aldi.    It has also won the Richmond Business Awards, Best Retail Business in 2013 and 2012.

Zeph King, General Manager at Real Ale says: “We are thrilled to be short-listed for this sought-after award in our tenth year in Twickenham.  We were promoting smaller, local, national and international breweries, long before it was fashionable to do so.  We strive to constantly innovate and offer our loyal customers something different – but as we are all passionate about beer, we find the challenge of aiming to keep ahead of our competitors highly enjoyable, especially in such a creative industry.”

The short-listed retailers in each category will be invited to the awards dinner which will be held next February at London’s Dorchester hotel where the winners will be announced.
