Rugby-inspired ale returns to the baa…r

Phil Douglas, Black Sheep Brewery head brewer
Pubgoers are set to ‘scrum down’ at the bar again, as Black Sheep announces the return of Ram Tackle ahead of the 2019 Six Nations Championship.

Ram Tackle will be available to pubs and bars throughout February.

Launched in 2017, Ram Tackle is a 4.1% ABV ruby ale, which is brewed with eight different English hops.

It is the third rugby-inspired ale created by The Black Sheep Brewery, following on from Blind Side and Ruckin’ Disaster, which were brewed ahead of and after the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Jo Theakston, Sales and Marketing Director at The Black Sheep Brewery, said: “It is set to be another thrilling Six Nations and, as massive rugby and sporting fans here at Black Sheep, it was a no-brainer to bring back Ram Tackle in time for the championships. It has been well-received since we launched it back in 2017, and we’re hoping it will be another popular choice at the bar again.

“Ram Tackle is a full-bodied ale with eight different English hops, inspired by the England national team. Last year’s Six Nations didn’t go exactly to plan for England, so we’re hoping the boys can put that behind them and challenge for the title again this year!”
