Devon-based Sandford Orchards, is thrilled to launch its Devon Mist cider in a can. Devon Mist (ABV 4.5%) is a medium, hazy session cider, unfiltered for extra flavour and texture. It is available from www.sandfordorchards.co.uk (RRP £42.65 for 24 x 440ml cans) as well as selected retail outlets, including Morrison stores in the South West.
Barny Butterfield, Chief Cidermaker at Sandford Orchards comments: “Devon Mist is our hazy cider, traditionally made but bang up to date for today’s cider drinkers. We source all our apples from local orchards. They’re incredible places all year round, but in autumn, when mist rolls over the hills and the trees are loaded with fruit, they take on a kind of magic. This same magic is embodied in our Devon Mist cider, hence the name!.”

Founded in 2002, independent, family-owned Sandford Orchards is based in Crediton, Mid Devon in the oldest working cider mill in the UK. The area has long been known as one of the most fertile parishes in all of Britain, both for its grazing and ability to grow apples. Crediton sits in the lee of the moors, so receives the right amount of rain and the right units of heat in summer.
Sandford Orchards takes a fresh, natural and low impact approach to producing cider. Combining tradition and innovation, Sandford Orchards produces an award-winning range of core session, traditional, fine and fruit ciders.
