Moonwake Beer Co. from Leith won three titles for best new brewery across the UK in 2022
In December, Moonwake was recognised for being the best new brewery in the UK for the third time. At a celebration in London, The Brewers Choice Awards named them ‘New Brewery of the Year 2022’.
In October, they were named ‘Best Newcomer’ in the Beer52 awards and brewed a 7 Hop Pale for the occasion and had a fantastic profile on them written in Ferment Magazine.
Earlier in October, they picked up ‘Best Newcomer of the Year’ at the Scottish Beer Awards. In the beer categories, they also won two Bronze awards, one for their IPA and another for their Vienna Lager which was brewed with Ukrainian brewery Varvar with its profits going to those affected by the conflict.
Moonwake’s third win came hot off the heels of winning best wheat beer in Scotland in the Society of Independent Brewer’s regional bottle and can awards.

Directors and brewers Vinny Rosario and Finlay Heslop founded Moonwake Beer Co. in 2021. They started their beer careers on opposite sides of the world, Vinny in New Zealand and Fin in the UK. They bring over a decade of experience in brewing to Moonwake, for both of them it is their creative outlet.
