This year’s donation of £38,676 to maritime charity Seafarers UK from Fuller, Smith and Turner P.L.C., the London brewer and premium pub company, took place recently [October 21] at the opening of The Admiralty, Fuller’s new pub on Trafalgar Square. Over 6,000 barrels of Seafarers Ale were sold last year, with a donation of £5 per barrel adding up to the total amount. Fuller’s has a long standing arrangement in support of the Portsmouth based charity.
Charity Director General Barry Bryant met with guest of honour, The Admiral Lord West of Spithead, himself a long term supporter of the organisation, as well as Fuller’s Chief Executive, Simon Emeny, and Sales Director Richard Fuller.
Admiral Lord West said: “It is a real pleasure to be able to see such a worthwhile charity receiving generous and constant support and it was great to be a part of today’s proceedings.”
Chief Executive Simon Emeny said: “To see this pub and area’s naval theme represented meaningfully is very important and we’re delighted everybody from Seafarers could join us, at the opening of The Admiralty, to receive this donation.”
