SIGNATURE BREW SUMMER BEER LAUNCHES

– Sicilian lemon sour, festival saison, NEW ENGLAND IPA & LOW ALCOHOL micro ipa –

East London based brewery, Signature Brew (www.signaturebrew.co.uk), is on a mission: to revolutionise the quality of beer at live music events. Launched in 2011, Signature is the world’s number one brewery for band collaboration beers, having brewed with Idles, Mogwai, Alt-J, Slaves, Mastodon, Frank Turner, Rodney P, Enter Shikari and many more.  This summer sees the launch of four new beers: C-Sharp, a fresh Sicilian Lemon & Citra Sour, a Dry Hopped ‘Festival Saison’, New England IPA, Sustain, and Unplugged, a lower alcohol Micro IPA.

Life has handed everyone lemons recently, so Signature thought they’d turn them into something tasty! Going one better than making lemonade, they have brewed up a mouth-watering Sicilian lemon and Citra hop sour, C-Sharp (4.5% ABV). Its slightly hazy yellow appearance is matched by an aroma of lemon meringue with hints of lime and elderflower – the ideal beer for hot summer days.

Long-time fan favourite, Festival Saison (4.8% ABV) is back by popular demand for Summer 2020. Signature considered cancelling Festival but then they thought, “NO, It’s bad enough we can’t watch bands in a field with our friends. Why should everything good be cancelled?” So here it is, back again, one of Signature’s all-time most popular seasonals. Grass under foot. Beer in hand. With dry, big-hop flavours & a fruity aroma, it’s sunshine in a glass. This beer is a tribute to the music festivals we all love and the people who work tirelessly to make them happen. Festival season will be back, but Festival Saison’s NOT cancelled. 

Like a sustained chord on a guitar, juicy hits of mango & passion fruit hang on your palette with Signature’s latest New England IPA, Sustain (6.5% ABV). Whatever life throws at us, we will sustain…

Much lighter on the alcohol content is Micro IPA, Unplugged, like a powerful acoustic act, this refreshing and full-bodied beer delivers a lower ABV in the style of a table beer without compromising on flavour. At 2.8% this is a go-to beer for those of us who are starting to return to something that resembles normal life. Sit down. Unplug. Enjoy.

2020’s Covid 19 crisis has seen Signature Brew get creative to keep the beer flowing in people’s homes, creating The Pub in a Box, hand delivered in London by musicians who’ve had their tours cancelled (paid London Living Wage) and delivered via courier nationally. When this all blows over, Signature Brew are also selling tickets for a proper piss up in a brewery, as well as two Skints gigs (their first in E17 for 10 years) as something for everyone to look forward to – we can all raise a glass to that!

As of Saturday 4th July, Signature Brew’s Walthamstow Brewery Bar, Haggerston Taproom and E17 Burger Bar, The Collab, are all open and pouring fresh pints, including the latest in the summer collection.
