Independent family brewer Shepherd Neame’s award-winning Christmas Ale is back – in time for the festive season.
A firm favourite for more than a decade, the full-bodied winter ale is brewed using 100% natural ingredients. It blends pale and crystal malts with Target, Challenger and Goldings hops to boast warming notes of mulled fruits and spices, with a heady, sweet aroma.
The seasonal ale has received a number of accolades in recent years, most recently Gold Medals in the International Brewing and Cider Awards and British Bottlers’ Institute Competition, and a Silver Medal in the International Beer Challenge.
Brewer Scott Wilkins said: “We are excited to bring back this award-winning festive brew. It is a complex beer, perfect to be savoured on a long winter night, and we’re delighted that it will be on offer just in time for the Festive Market and Christmas Lights Switch-On in our home town of Faversham, Kent tomorrow (Saturday, November 25).”
Christmas Ale will be available on draught (5% ABV) until the end of November and throughout December in selected Shepherd Neame pubs across Kent, London and the South East. It is the final beer in Shepherd Neame’s popular real ale initiative Cask Club for 2023. To find a Shepherd Neame pub near you, visit: https://snea.me/pubs-map. Customers are advised to call ahead to confirm Christmas Ale is available.
The festive ale is also available in 500ml bottles (7% ABV) from Shepherd Neame’s Brewery Shop in Faversham or online at https://shop.shepherdneame.co.uk/collections/christmas/products/christmas-ale.
