Siren’s Draft Mag favourite gets UK release

Home from Home Coffee IPA, Siren Craft Brew’s 2017 collaboration with Reubens Brews which was recently named amongst the year’s top US beers, is getting a UK release.

Brewed at Reuben’s Seattle HQ early last year, Home was lauded in well-respected US magazine Draft’s Top 25 Beers of 2017. Bidding to repaying the favour, Reuben’s UK-born Founder Adam Robbings visited Berkshire in February to join up with Siren’s top man, Kyle Larsen, and brew a UK batch.

A true collaboration, Home from Home combines ingredients and ideas from both sides of the Atlantic, including unique house yeast strains and favoured grain combinations. The partnership sourced Ethiopian Biftu Gudina coffee for sweet, fruity and almost hoppy notes for the UK version, complemented by Mosaic, Galaxy, Motueka and Citra.

The brew went on general sale on April 2nd. Applauding Home from Home, Draft Mag noted:

“Sweet croissant-like malts transition easily to an iced-coffee-with-cream richness; then earthy coffee and light grapefruit skin notes provide a refreshing perk-up before the swallow closes with a mocha exhale. While every technical brewing choice is deliberate here, the resulting beer only requires you enjoy every juicy-java sip.”

Home from Home is available at www.sirencraftbrew.com at £3.30 for a 330ml bottle.
